The Advanced Materials Interactive Theater

This immersive theater offers hands-on experiences with Gore product samples. Featuring dynamic sound and lighting, a curved projection screen, and retractable mesh panels, the spiral space supports the spiral space accommodates immersive experiences and group events.

When placed on a central RFID-enabled table, samples trigger animated videos explaining their properties and capabilities. Gore Associates provide personalized presentations, deepening visitors' understanding of the science behind their innovations.

Testing the User Experience

Gore’s associates identified the need to give essential visitors a tour of some of their most innovative products, but the products are incredibly complex feats of engineering, difficult to unpack and share. How did they begin to think about how they might tell their stories for visitors?

An interactive VR tour helped validate the experience within the spiral for both the client and potential visitors.

Low-fidelity scale mockups helped us understand the nuances of the Associate’s presentation approach. They also validated the scale, and the need for supportive elements like labels.

High-Fidelity Prototypes

Once the scale and form factor were validated, we began testing the effectiveness of the content with high-fidelity mockups. Within this setting, we could review the complex story and interface details at their final scale.

Capacitive Product Wall

Once the scale and form factor were validated, we began testing the effectiveness of the content with high-fidelity mockups. Within this setting, we could review the complex story and interface details at their final scale.

Early diagrams helped us confirm initial content and layout needs with W. L. Gores product experts.
